Anesthesiology is one of the relatively new fields of Medical Sciences. In recent years, great developments have taken place in this field. After the discovery of the science of anesthesia, great steps have been taken in the science and art of pain control. The task of anesthesia specialists is not limited to operating rooms, but they also provide valuable services in chronic and acute pain management, intensive care units, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and pain clinics.

Our Aim is to provide high quality teaching and learning atmosphere and communication plus effective participation in anesthesia and ICU related practice. To develop the high qualified and safe anesthesia staff with the best background of knowledge and practice Experience.

The objectives of the Department are to:

Provide and prepare the future anesthesia staff with knowledge and skills for patient care in anesthesia, ICU, operation room and post operation care unit including drug and solution preparing and administration also resuscitation and intervention as needed.
